Special Olympics Taekwondo
Sulphur Springs ATA Martial Arts is proud to support Special Olympics Texas through our Non-Combative Taekwondo program—a safe, structured, and empowering martial arts experience designed for athletes of all abilities.
From February 5 through April 11, athletes will receive completely FREE training led by ATA Certified Instructors alongside Certified Special Education Teachers. Our goal is to help every athlete build confidence, improve coordination, and prepare to compete in official Special Olympics Taekwondo events.
Free Special Olympics Taekwondo Training (Feb. 5 – Apr. 11)
This Special Olympics Texas Non-Combative Taekwondo training program is focused on skill-building, positive coaching, and personal growth in a supportive environment.
Athletes will train for events including:
Forms (Patterns)
Weapons
Board Breaking
Partner Team Events
This is a non-combative program, meaning athletes train and compete in performance-based events—no sparring required.
Two Opportunities to Compete (March & April)
Athletes will have two exciting chances to compete during this training season:

March 28 – Conroe, TX
🥋 Competition #2
April 4 – Sulphur Springs, TX
These competitions give athletes a chance to showcase their hard work, demonstrate their skills, and experience the pride of representing their community through Special Olympics Texas.

This program is designed for all athletes who want to train in Non-Combative Taekwondo events. Whether an athlete is new to martial arts or has previous experience, our instructors will meet them where they are and help them progress.
